Orienteering race 1:03:55 [3] 8.56 km (7:28 / km) +181m 6:45 / km

Western Night League - Minchinhampton and Rodborough Common

Started with a few on the common, then big mistake going to one on small bit of woods near marsh.... found marsh and clearing but no control.... heading out to road, then realised control was on hill, so went back, found where hill should have been, lots of brambles, so couldn't work out if it was hill and found a red tape, still no control..... headed out different way and stumbled across control about 50m from where I reckon it should have been.

Almost gave up there and then, but got a couple of easy ones in woods and then cleared most of them on the golf course.

Enjoyed the golf course, despite finding controls in depressions was extremely difficult..... absolutely detested the woods, which was definitely not any sort of fun!!!!!!

Good curry and beers in Dursley after

Running 20:13 [3] 4.13 km (4:54 / km) +14m 4:49 / km

Short run to get car - groin/abdomen/stomach not great..... thought whatever it was/is had cleared up, as was ok last week.

Edgeley and Stockport Urban Race - M40+/WO

Ankle a liitle sore after yesterday, but soon wore off with the ibuprofen

A bit overly cautious on paths to 1, with wet leaves - then like many others did not read the description so had to go back around hedge

Almost knocked my self out running through the light green in Alexandra Park to 3

9-10 would have been better just heading out to main road, given location of control (hadn't picked up that had to come off main road anyway)

Despite 2 minute road crossing and sorting out routes to 16/17 still faffing a bit
here

26-27 - going out NE to road would have been better rather than down steeps and back up rather overgrown steps

29-30 ran a few meters down wrong road (probably tiring)

Thought it was a reasonable run when I finished and was just over a minute ahead of Mark Chapman...… that was until Quentin finished!!!!!

Legs were a bit heavy after yesterday, but no way I could have gone 7 minutes faster!!!
