Mountain Biking 2:44:38 [3] 31.27 km (5:16 / km) +803m 4:40 / km

Another mudfest with a bit of gratuitous hill climbs on road thrown in for good measure.

Out of Dursley up Broadway and through woods and down Warren Hill - North Nibley - Westridge Woods - Wotton - up Blackquarries (ouch!) anf down through Newark Park on permissive bridleway - Ozleworth - Scrubbets Laane - Lampern House and back along top (correct) bridleway, which was mostly rideable.

A bit bored of mud now :-)

Run 1:07:18 [3] 10.09 km (6:40 / km) +312m 5:47 / km

Coopers Wood - Bowcott Farm - Waterley Bottom Explore

Exploring a few new paths south of Whiteway (between Bowcott Farm and Waterley Bottom) - slow plod

Was going to go cycling today, but fog never cleared.

Run 54:05 [3] 9.23 km (5:52 / km) +200m 5:17 / km

Castle Combe Loop

Day off and sun shining, so a visit to old haunts around Castle Combe.

This was my favourite run when I lived in Chippenham, so as was in area, thought it would be a good one to do.

Just under 9 minutes slower than my quickest, but that was almost 5 years a go, it was muddy and i am carrying more ballast up the hills!

Will there be any more orienteering this year? BOK events at risk with Bristol and S Glos in Tier 3, but NGOC WNL could go ahead and as I live in Gloucestershire I can go.

Tuesday Nov 24 #

Run 41:36 [3] 6.26 km (6:39 / km) +199m 5:44 / km

Slow off-road headtorch plod

Cotswold Way from bottom of Long Street to Cam Long Down, around Long Down and back down to church.

Lots of niggly bits in both legs.

Mountain Biking 2:56:31 [3] 35.64 km (4:57 / km) +742m 4:29 / km

Fun (mostly), muddy ride via Folly Wood, Kingscote Wood, Nailsworth, Selsley Common and Stanley Wood,

Most of it was actually reasonably rideable apart from the section from Bowcott Farm to Lampern House which was just a case of pushing through the mud where 4x4's had obviously been - looking at the map again, I was on the lower track, which is a footpath - I will have to check out where the bridleway is shown next time.

Section through Kingscote was ok, apart from three large fallen trees which I had to clamber over.

Would do this one again.
