Maybe the most fun I've had racing. Donnie and I set an easy pace early in the horrifying mud and I'd found enough of a groove in the slop that part way up the wall I started to turn the dial and by mile 40 I was still feeling good. At mile 45 (?) I caught up with Ryan and decided to hammer for a mile or two to see if I could catch anyone else. Caught one guy and felt strong enough to keep on hammering. Finished as strong as I ever have in a race, going from 7th to 2nd over the final 9ish miles.
Pretty sore today, partly from running hard, partly because I fell at least a dozen times in the mud. Conditions by far the worst I (or anyone I talked to) had ever run in.
