Note

Did a micro-o at lunchtime and managed to get a twig lodged straight into my shin about half a cm deep. left a tiny hole but for some reason the whole front of my shin is sore. Good thing I'm going beer-oing tonight.

Day micro-o plus beer-o. Can anyone be as bad as I was on the first lap of this? The answer is no. I got a better with beer though. And getting my compass after the first loop helped.

Lovely course in Lunsen organised by Ruairi. Was a bit longer than I was supposed to be really but was just having fun.

New shoes still hurting the toe knuckle so will have to try do something about that. Only on one foot too.

Note

Was going to go to intervals but the stress level is too high right now I just have to get some stuff done.

Roar asked me to let them know at the start what the session was because ross and Hilda weren't gonna be there so I decided to cycle and defer responsibility to someone to take the drills and strides. As it happened I met Rassmus on the way at around Sommaro and told him about the situation for some reason incredibly awkwardly. He said he already knew as he was in the training group and he was gonna take the session. Job done I suppose.

Back to the hair pulling.

While the Gina of old could happily sit at 187bpm and chugg along it appears this is no longer the case.

Nice 10k run around Uppsala. Wasn't trying to race too much due to the difficulty of the course but wanted to do a little check of where I was physically. Not great it appears. Was pretty fine for the first 4k, wasn't feeling it too much. Could see a familiar back of the head above the sea of people about five rows in front of me then I got a stitch around 5k and had to walk it out a bit up the hill. Embarrassing. Didn't feel great after that really and I developed an even worse one going across the field in front of ITC.

Ah well. Good craic anyway

blacks 0/2 (but pretty close on one of them)

decided it makes sense to record what I was doing in climbing for back reference. Pity the grade bands are so wide.

Helklubbsträning sprint. Good fun around the centre of Uppsala. Messed up on number 3 and headed for number 6 instead which was pretty silly. A few more mistakes around the place. at one point was looking to see if there was a gap in a fence and then I realised it was a crossable fence... ah well.

+7:19 on Albin (who has three at the weekend starting tomorrow) 01:09 time loss for me total.
+4:59 down on Hilda who I think is in the same boat.
Good craic. Felt nice to be orienteering fast (for me)

Feeling run down and lymph nodes on my neck swollen so decided to take another rest day and catch up on a lot of work (though I still have a mountain left to do). Feeling good that I did it now because I actually got something done as opposed to faffing all day which often happens when I'm feeling under the weather.
