Running 41:00 [3] 7.8 km (5:15 / km) +105m 4:55 / km

Right so this was the first time I've ever actually tried to give myself a pace and stick to it... I wanted to do 5/k which was totally doable I think. However I had forgotten that i'd eaten about 15 minutes previous so after the first lap i had to take a two minute rest cos i felt slightly nauseated. then I took another minute after the second one. The third lap was pretty fun cos people were actually walking up the steep way for a change and I got to pass them out. Altogether pretty happy with my running, even if i didn't get it spot on.

Running warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Warm up. Didnt warm down.

Running 15:00 [3]

eh dancing actuallly. Only putting in half the time because... well its dancing. Definitely an ab work out though got pretty red faced....

Orienteering 1:29:36 [3] *** 7.0 km (12:48 / km) +230m 11:00 / km
spiked:12/13c

Went for o-training in Oughaval-wood Stradbally. Orienteered well but some of the white forest was med-greed and some of the light green was impassable... theres a few gina shaped holes in the undergrowth..... otherwise I feel I did pretty well. Wasn't breaking myself running or anything just trying to know where I was at every point. Spiked all but one control but that was cos I could see it but I had to go around the other way cos It was completely impassable. I shouldnt have put in one of the controls cis it was pretty pointless.... ooh also the ground was ridiculously slippery. nearly flattened myself twice. I need o-shoes...

Nice bike ride. Bit of fun. Got really wet and covered in mud thanks to my lack of front mud guard.

Orienteering 56:51 [3]

Different distance and climb as Colm... probably 150% heart rate though! I dislike running around fast people. It makes you want to pretend you're fitter than you are which in turn makes everything more difficult. Especially breathing. In future I'll try not to care. Anyways. Really fun day. Colm turned out to be a surprisingly good teacher... lots of details that would be really useful and stuff. then the guys ran up the mountain and I ran/walked some (probably not most) of the way up then followed them down. Didnt line o either cos everyone would have been waiting for me so I ended up waiting for people.. tried to corelate the map to what was happening on the ground as I was going though. That was fun. Some guy shouted what was i running away from coming down then he saw the map and was like oooh. The sun shone the whoooole time. Feckin sun. Cant wait to do that again. Maybe with more of a plan. Thanks a million Colm.
