Cycling - Mountain Bike 2:15:00 [3]

Mtn biking somewhere close to black diamond with Mark. Fun single track, testing out Michelle's new bike. Happy I didn't break it. Cool to have a workout again that's completely fun.

Cycling - Road Bike 8:30:00 [4] 155.0 mi (3:17 / mi) +3030m 3:06 / mi

Ride Around Mt Rainier in One Day(RAMROD). Total time with breaks was about 9 hrs and 15 minutes. Seems like a lot of people were trying to finish in under 9 hours. Would have been possible if I hooked up with a pace line for the majority of the first 60 miles, instead I rode a decent amount solo. Also, spent about 10 minutes messing with flat tires and filling them on a few different occassions. Lost my wife on the course, she was driving. I guess she missed me ride by and waited for another 2 hrs or so in the same general area while I was peddling on and wondering where she could be. Could have used some food, cytomax, sunscreen, and a jacket. Found her after I finished about 6 hours later.

Legs were quite trashed from the last few weeks and I still felt deyhdrated.

Adventure Racing 18:07:00 [4]

Trioba Cle Elum...super hot, better route choices were available (we didn't take them), poor fluid management, severe dehydration, dropped out.

Thoughts...didn't really feel like a team effort, but that's what you get when you meet two teammates the night before the race. just reinforces what i already knew...

Cycling - Road Bike 3:10:00 [3] 73.0 km (2:36 / km) +975m 2:26 / km

Ride from somewhere close to Lannemezan with Michelle to watch start of TDF stage 13. Fun to watch. 12k round trip.

Back to Lourdes. Super hot and humid. 61k, last ride in France.

I'll miss the bike friendly drivers, scenic country, big mountains, and the narrow winidng roads.

Cycling - Road Bike 5:38:00 [3] 75.0 km (4:30 / km) +1500m 4:06 / km

Bagneres de Bigorre to La Mongie (TDF Stage 12 Finish) with Michelle. Carrying both packs and pushing Michelle up 1200m to finish.

Amazing day, what a spectacle, incredible energy in the crowd, mountain thunderstorm soaked us for a few hours...too bad we didn't have adequate clothing...sun came out about 30 minutes before Lance and Basso went sprinting by to the finish. Had no idea who won. Wow, those guys can suffer.

Rode back to Lourdes from La Mongie 51k.

Cycling - Road Bike 6:00:00 [3] 128.0 km (2:49 / km) +1900m 2:37 / km

Lourdes to Gavarine, then climb to near boarder of Spain...2km hike required, would have gone but wife was waiting patiently for me a few thousand feet below in Gavarine....didn't want to come back too late.

Easy ride back to Lourdes with Michelle.

Cycling - Road Bike 4:20:00 [3] 65.5 mi (3:58 / mi) +2125m 3:36 / mi

Bike with Roger at Mt. Rainier from Paradise to Cayuse Pass and back. A bit rainy and foggy at the start, a little sun, excellent ride. Cayuse Pass took much less time than expected (45 minutes) especially since we weren't riding all out.

Hiking 4:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (30:00 / mi) +1520m 18:52 / mi

Hike to Camp Muir after ride. I was quite tired, stopped and took a quick nap in the sun. Eventually, caught up to our large group (since they were all waiting). Roger was crusing. Glissade down to Paradise was a blast.

Cycling - Mountain Bike 3:00:00 [3] 27.0 mi (6:40 / mi) +1182m 5:52 / mi

Fun ride, nice to get in some hills and cool to mtn bike in the woods again. Tiger Mtn...up Preston City RR trail single track, down logging road to parking lot, then up to Poo Poo point and back. Felt fine.

Was planning to run as well, but got a late start today. Maybe tomorrow.
