Running (Trail) 2:55:31 [3] 16.81 mi (10:26 / mi) +1896ft 9:26 / mi

Long run around Mt Macedon. This wasn't the walk in the park it was supposed to be - I actually found it hard going. Legs still sore from Friday (had no idea I'd pushed it that hard!) and just felt really low on energy. Still, got through it!

Was going to do my long run today but pulled up quite sore in my glutes and hammies from yesterday's session so decided to do a recovery run and push the long run back to tomorrow.
Also next week's race is on a Sunday so it works out quite well in that respect too.

Ran home from work. Wasn't really prepared for the weather. Can barely type now as my fingers defrost! Hence slightly quicker than easy pace...trying to keep warm!

Running (Treadmill) 1:00:00 [4] 7.03 mi (8:32 / mi)

Treadmill hill progression - ran at 8:30/mile and started flat and increased incline by 1% every quarter mile.
I think I had the opposite problem with a treadmill this time. I got up to 15% on each go...and whilst I'd like to think I'm getting fitter there's no way I've gotten that much better. I think maybe this was just a dud treadmill as I've used the treadmills there before and they've been fine.
Still at 15% it was a good, challenging workout (also when I realised I started incrementing by 2% etc so I got through 2 rounds)

15 min warm up
2 miles @ 7/mile pace
8 sets of 1min@10%, 3mins flat - all at 9mins/mile
10min cool down

Hard but good session. Really enjoyed this!
