This was an interesting race. Training with Marilyn has been an exercise in learning new things and holding back. Today was to be a social pace and that's what I ended up doing- something I have never really done before. Chatted with people DURING the race. It really felt super easy and my legs are not "raced" on at all. I could have run some more but that was not in the plan today. It feels weird to be out of the top 10 but this was not the plan today. I was supposed to have 1/3 easy pace, 1/3 lite tempo and 1/3 easy. So.... this is what happened. We haven't started speed work yet so this is where I sit. Ready to go.
