Been a sobering two weeks regarding the frailty of life. Last week lost a buddy from my old field hockey team to pancreatic cancer; just 10 months after diagnosis. This week learned I'd lost a dear old orienteering friend to pneumonia, but it was probably the Alzheimer's that did it.
