Orienteering race (Ansonia Blue (Middle)) 1:06:41 [4] 5.3 km (12:35 / km)
shoes: Oroc 280

Bright frosty morning, but by the time I started really just perfect conditions.

Opted for blue so as to get more fun in the woods. All in all had a decent legs day, but was let down by my navigation. Really struggled in the circles trying to pick out the correct hunks of rock.

The most notable misses were #3 and #10. For #3 I floundered about for ever in the re-entrant checking out likely boulders, all the while with the flag on the correct "boulder" visible behind me. Must have missed by only a few meters. For #10, again somehow missed seeing the flag, and wandered well past, finally relocating by heading down to the large spur/knolls to the SE.

AP has me with 9 minutes of errors. Ugh. But no complaints, really fun course, terrain, and day in the woods. Great travel companions too.

Jogging (Ashley) 34:05 [3] 3.4 mi (10:01 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Triumph 150

Quiet, still, cool, pretty sunset, postcard worthy.
Remembered watch, which was a shame, because I thought I was moving faster than I really was. Doh.
