Run (Treadmill) 25:00 [3] 2.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Nike Track Flats

Easy pace, started feeling pain in my right hip flexor, right where the leg connects with my torso... not sure what the deal is. Maybe I ran too far yesterday.

Run (Outside) 3:33:25 [3] 21.85 mi (9:46 / mi)
shoes: Nike Track Flats

Wow! Amazing Run.

First hour was very easy, maintained between 8:50 - 9:20 m/mile. I went out on the W&OD trail east towards DC from Falls Church.

Then I had to start running on snow, it wasn't difficult until an hour of running on snow then it just became tiring. I slowed down but cardio was great. I was supposed to do 3 hrs but I was sooooo close to DC, I couldn't stop. It was sooooo beautiful! I made it to the Jefferson Memorial, walked inside the memorial and then ran back. That's why it's 3:30 as opposed to 3:00.

Legs hurt at the end, tired of course, but cardio felt pretty decent the whole way.

Right before the run, I drank about 30 calories of Gatorade, I had eaten about 200 calories in cookies, :( I had been drinking water all morning.

During the run I didn't eat and drink as much as I probably should have but it was 35 degrees and I was well hydrated. I drank 140 calories in Gu Electrolyte Brew, 1 gel at 100 calories and 230 calories in Power Bar Triple Threat Energy Bar.

When I returned I drank about 60 calories in Gatorade and 180 calories in Hammer Recoverite.

Run (Treadmill) 1:10:00 [3] 8.8 mi (7:57 / mi)
shoes: Nike Track Flats

I was supposed to do a 3hr run today, ended up spending the day running around looking for a hydration pack/bottle holder. I learned about some local dirt trails, so it was a good - Great Falls.

I ended up having to do a shorter run on the treadmill, I was supposed to do it outside, but I guess that's okay.

15 min warm up at 6.2 mph

35 min tempo run at 8.0 mph (7:30 m/mile) - wow! that was a lot easier than I thought, so I did 35 min instead of 30 min.

At 50 min decreased to 7.8 mph for 2 min
At 52 min decreased to 7.6 mph for 2 min
At 54 min decreased to 7.4 mph for 2 min

At 56 min increased to 7.5 mph for 2 min
At 58 min increased to 7.6 mph for 2 min
At 60 min increased to 7.7 mph for 2 min
At 62 min increased to 7.8 mph for 2 min
At 64 min increased to 7.9 mph for 2 min
At 66 min increased to 8.0 mph for 1 min

At 67 min increased to 8.2 mph for :30 sec
At 67:30 min increased to 8.3 mph for :30 sec
At 68 min increased to 8.4 mph for :15 sec
Increased 1 mph every 15 sec for the next minute
Increased 2 mph every 10 sec for last minute

Run (Treadmill) 1:13:30 [3] 6.26 mi (11:45 / mi)
shoes: Nike Track Flats

15 min warm up

5 min strides (X5)

8 X 3:00 (5.5 mph (10:54m/mile / 8%)
- was supposed to do 9:35 min/mile at 9% but too difficult and the treadmill wouldn't let me do it. Kind of cheap treadmill, but it's okay, it was WAYYY hard anyway.
3 min walk at 3.6 mph on rest (long rest)

5 min cool down

Tough workout on the run part, long rest, but I won't complain! :)

Physical Fitness Test! It was freezing! Lungs were burning. My time was better than last June after I'd been out for a month with my foot injury. Had I not been sick, I think I could have taken at least :30 seconds off. So, woo-hoo!!

Run (Outside) 46:51 [5] 6.2 mi (7:33 / mi)
shoes: Nike Track Flats

Hilly course.

Surprised by time - happy surprise!

But kind of disappointed at the same time. The last 10k I did was 5 yrs ago in about 42 min, so I have some work to do.

I was second place overall!!! Nice little surprise - VERY small field though! :) Oh, well!
