I ran 40 min then I did 4X strides at 11.0 mph, it felt pretty good, my run overall felt pretty good, not feeling sluggish at all.

I did not want to run but it was a beautiful day and I knew I should. The streets are packed which was a bit discouraging but a co-worker mentioned he wanted to go but also didn't want to go. Perfect! I convinced him and off we went.

We ran from my hotel over to Green Park, then on to Hyde Park, around once in a loopy way and then I ran my co-worker back to his hotel and I ran back to mine.

Good run! As always when I run with other people they always want to run so much faster.

I meant to go out on a short 5 -7 mile run but it's just so hard to go short here in London, there's so much to see!! What a beautiful run! I just ran, no pace requirement, I just ran to run. The weather is finally beautiful here!

I started at my hotel and headed over to Hyde Park, I ran around it in a couple of circles, then off to Regents' Park, amazing buildings. I went through Regents, which reminded me of Central Park, and around it. I tried to head back to my hotel but ended up near St. Paul's Cathedral. It was a little further out but I found a little short cut and made it back.

So, I meant to go out for about 5 - 7 miles since I have to go to work this morning. However, I set the Tower Bridge as my goal, which was a little further than I thought. I also ran 3 miles before I even started heading to Tower Bridge!

I ran along the Thames today, all the way to the bridge and then back. Great run! Cloudy - as usual - but not cold!

This was a slap in the face! Ok, I got the message, I'm so glad you had me do this run, it really showed me how much fitness I've lost! Wow. I need to do these long runs more often.

So, I started off thinking I would try for at least 4:30, as I went along I started feeling very stiff rather than fatigued. I started at W 114th and ran down to Battery Park, I thought it would take longer since I was going so slow. When I made it down in 1:45, I started worrying. I was wondering where I could come up with 1 more hr of running, worse yet, the energy needed to pass my car and keep going. Needless to say, I did all I could just to make it to my car!

Yes, it was between 85 - 95 degrees but there's a difference between heat and just being out of shape. It felt good to be out there though! I need to do these runs more often!!

Great run! I had good energy going in. I thought this was going to be a tough one but I knew I needed to give it a shot. I wasn't sure I could hold the full 30 minutes.

12 min warm up @ 6.2 mph
4 strides @ 11.0 mph
5 min cool off @ 6.3 mph
30 min @ 8.0 mph
16 min cool down @ 6.6 mph

So, it wasn't too hard but it definitely wasn't easy, could I have held another 30 min? Probably, but not enjoying it and with a lot of mental work.

Again, super tired but I got to the gym! I did hills today, feeling okay, not quite where I used to be but getting there. The other thing is that I've put on about 7 lbs, that may not seem like a lot but when you're as short as I am, every pound matters. Normally I can lose it quickly but this one is sticking with me. :(. Super strict paleo, here I come! - it always helps!

Tough run today... again. I decided to do the incline run.

Well, I had good intentions of doing the incline run. 30 min of 6% incline at 9:10 m/mile. This is what ended up happening:

13 min warm up @ 6.2 mph

6 X
1 min @ 9:13 min/mile @ 6% incline
1 min @ 9:13 min/mile @ flat

28 min between 9:13 min/mile and 9 mph

I was just lacking the energy, I had good intentions, but no energy, not sure what's going on. :(
