Wow, hard run. Not cardio difficult, just a feeling a little fatigued. Not a lot of energy. However, I got 4 strides in at the end. Glad I got out. Weather was perfect. About 80 degrees or so, light wind.

Great run! Held back at the beginning, pushed as I went along. Pushed super hard in the last 2 miles. Started at 58 degrees, ended at about 82 degrees.

Took 2 gels - 200 cal (100 cal each)
1 builder's bar - 270 cal
Heed - 350 cal
24 oz Gu drink - 150 cal
16 oz Nuun drink - 8 cal (I didn't know Nuun was so low in calories!)

978 calories total.

Maybe I should have eaten more... I felt good though, I was aiming for 300 calories an hour. Based on how I felt, 300/hr seems a little high, I'm thinking 200 an hour would have been better.

I didn't eat any of the food they provided, I wanted to see if I could carry all my own food and drink. I did run out of drink, so I had to drink what they had.
