OMM day 2. We were first mixed pair overnight so had a 7am start, but missed it by 10 minutes and so the 2nd mixed pair got away from us :(

Much better weather today but steeper and longer climbs (or so it seemed).
Finished 2nd mixed pair in the end and 1st parent/child team.

OMM day 1, B class. Seriously boggy and if it wasn't boggy it was knee high heather. (good strensall training though).

Really tough and minging weather, I was absolutely knackered by the end, and almost got swept away in a river.
My dad literally pulled me along the last few kilometers

Blodslittet, Norway.
I only did the womens open as it was 6km, and I hadn't run in terrain since hurting my hip.

The race was AMAZING. I loved every minute of it :) Stayed in a pack most of the way round so was racing head-to-head nearly all the way.

Note

Woke up this morning, having has some seriously strange dreams, with a headache and bunged up nose so have the day off.

Cycled down to Portobello and back to help at some schools coaching with Roger, struggled on the hills on the way home, so its probably a good thing I haven't done anything today.

Went down to intervals, everyone was doing the session form hell. I did the first 2 x 2km, but cut the top part off as I was still really far behind the person infront.

Have no idea what times I was doing as I forgot a watch.
Stopped after the first two as my hip felt funny and I was not really enjoying it.

Jogged around the meadows twice, no pain from my hip :)
Had ache-y muscles, especially my shoulders and back from the gym yesterday.

Started down inn the gym with the Winning Student guys today. Steve has let me join in so now I can go to all the morning sessions.

Also, jogged down there with Bex, and my hip was totally fine. Will go for a slightly longer run tomorrow.
