Running 57:27 [2]

Was planning to recce the new section of the skyline but weather grim and woke up at 1pm post HPM poptarts. Not really surprising considering I had 3 hours sleep in 45 hours, although nothing compared to the USMC HPM teams who got less sleep and also ran 42 miles! Just went round rivelin instead. The rain on my face was very nicely refreshing.

Running 50:00 [2]

Run into work from Yorkshire Bridge. Straight up Parkin Clough and WinHill then down via Twitchill. Achilles too tight to run up anything more than a gentle incline.

Running 23:10 [2]

Over the ridge to Edale to help out at HPM. Awesome night, normally when helping at this sort of thing just want to be running it but didn't have that desire this year!

Running 54:22 [2]

Up to Forge Dam and back via hunters bar with Megan. Lower legs (particularly right ankle) feeling very tight. Need a good stretch. Brought the sunshine back to Britain though :)

My splitsbrowser graphs from last week are all very straight except one control on each the sprint and WR middle. Running speed is obviously my weakness.

Running warm up/down 8:00 [2]

Orienteering 1:18:54 [4]

POM Chasing Start. "Chasing" some retired Swiss orienteer by 45 minutes. Spent most of number 1 trying to fit my control desriptions into the holder then somebody caught me up at number 2. Not a massive fan of running with other people (probably because I don't want to run any faster) so was quite happy when she ran off in a different direction to 3. Entering 7 and a train of about 6 people turned up (including the girl who had previously caught me). At 9 they all ran off and I stopped for a drink then got stuck at an uncrossable fence to 11. Arrived at 12 to find the same train of people approaching from completely the opposite direction. After this was the butterfly and fortunately all but 1 ran off on the other loop. Really enjoyed the course and nice that it was a bit cooler today or would have been a struggle. Such a good few days and the terrain was awesome!

Running warm up/down 12:00 [2]

Orienteering 48:56 [4]

POM Middle 2. WR event and got the privilege of going first as I have no WR points! AKA bashing down the vegetation for everyone else. Lots of little mistakes which added up to just over 4 minutes... and a few other controls where I didn't make any mistakes but the vegetation was pretty thick and was slower than others starting later. Good fun though and 1/95 when I finished :)
