Running (60/40 trail/paved) 2:23:01 intensity: (30:17 @1) + (1:45:22 @2) + (7:22 @3) 13.08 mi (10:56 / mi)
ahr:149 max:169 shoes: Five Fingers Bikila

Turned out to be a bit of an adventure run - finding new trails etc, but got too dark too soon and I didn't have my headlamp. tough to keep up the pace when you can't see. felt good the whole run though, minor knee pain in both, but not crazy bad. I don't really like to run in the evening/night - too burnt from the day usually, feels empty and flat.

Walking (Treadmill) 38:36 [2] 2.56 mi (15:05 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Five Fingers Bikila

First walk on the treadmill. I set it to 10% incline and tried 4.2mph, that lasted about 8minutes before it was too much and I bumped it down to 3.8mph, then worked my way back up and settled in at 4mph for the bulk of the time. did a few minutes at the end at 4.2 and it didn't seem so bad the second time. No IT band or other real problems. but it really was harder than I thought it would be.

Running (trail, recovery) 1:06:35 intensity: (17:28 @1) + (42:37 @2) + (5:45 @3) + (45 @4) 5.92 mi (11:15 / mi)
ahr:148 max:177 rhr:56 slept:6.0 weight:85.5kg shoes: Five Fingers KSO

Good run, no IT pain NSAIDs must be working. nice to be on the trail. Hill sprints at the end were enough to make me dizzy, but I still couldn't beat Ruby (the dog)! 184 steps/minute, one breath/three steps if I thought about it. 10:00/mile avg for bulk of run.

Running (Mostly Trail, Run 3 ) 1:01:51 intensity: (5:51 @1) + (27:53 @2) + (24:11 @3) + (3:56 @4) 6.53 mi (9:28 / mi)
ahr:153 max:181 slept:7.5 (injured) shoes: Inov8 F-light 230

Felt pretty good, except the right leg IT/Knee still. Flared up pretty bad on small downhill and at end. Did some drills to see; helped a little but no magic today. Iced immediately following, taking advil today. Counted steps 3 times at different speeds; 48, 49 at 9:50 pace, 45 at 7:30 pace. One foot in 30 seconds x 4 =192,196, and 180 steps/minute. Had the dog so had to stop a couple times. See Splits

Running (recovery) 49:05 intensity: (8:41 @1) + (33:29 @2) + (6:30 @3) + (25 @4) 4.88 mi (10:03 / mi)
ahr:153 max:179 slept:6.0 shoes: Five Fingers Bikila

The pace seemed fast for a recovery run, but at the same time I was able to keep it up ok. Still having Right leg IT band knee pain - which seemed to magically disappear as soon as I did the strides and drills at the end of the run.
