Trail Running 1:16:00 [3] 4.0 mi (19:00 / mi)
slept:6.0 shoes: Salomon Spikecross

Ran EP Sawyer in the dark with the spikecross shoes to further break them in and to see how well they did in the Ice and snow. The upside is they did pretty well, they provide better traction as expected but the pins won't grab on hard frozen ice at all, offering a special surprise when hitting an Icy spot. This can be a problem because the spike provide a lot of confidence otherwise so this little surprise can be a problem. The shoes need more break in time but I think they are coming along, I would like to see what a pair of the Icebug shoes does compared to these.

My other new item is a Fenix 900 lumen headlamp. This thing is amazing, even at low power it completely outshines my old headlamp, offering a wide view and good light beam range even on the low power setting. On high it easily threw light the length of a football field and more, something the local deer and coyote population discovered last night.

All in all a good work out. I am going to work on trying to improve trail running form and pacing in the next few weeks.

Bench press 3x10@ 85
Squat 3X10 @ 85
Romanian Deadlift @ 60
Seated row narrow grip 3x10 @ 90
Seated row wide grip 3x10 @ 90
Barbell press 3x10 @ 30
Barbell fly 3x10 @ 30
Barbell Incline press 3x10 @ 30
Barbell Incline fly 3x10 @ 30
Barbell overhead press 3x10 @ 30
Ab machine 3x10 @ 90

I noticed that my overhead press is not coming along as quickly as my other repetitions. I think I will need to add some more shoulder routines. I am also not as sore, so I think adding more leg workouts could be doable.

If I can hit the weights a on a regular basis this week I think I can add 10 to my bench and squat
