Club juniors had a training camp on the weekend so we joined their "hat orienteering", i.e. a two-man relay in a star where each runner goes out and moves a hat, which serves as the control flag. Basically an o-terval session. On a team with Andrea. The 15 and 16 year old boys in the club are silly fast so just tried to stay as close as I could... All snow completely melted away...

Night-O cup mass start. Ran the middle distance course this time because I'm still unsure about the achilles. Just in the train to the first two controls, but then the long course went in a different direction and I was together with Oskar in the lead of the middle course. Had different order in the butterfly and split up, but I did really badly on the first loop losing 3 minutes and after the butterfly I was alone for the rest. +5C but still wet snow in all of the forest and the bigger paths were polished ice nearly impossible to run on with my La Sportivas.

Easy orienteering at Ekensberg. Heavy wet snow, tough running, feeling pretty out of shape.

Bor Winter Cup, a Czech winter race/training series with crazy concepts, e.g. mirrored maps type of stuff. But it's SI and it's taken pretty seriously. This one was an 80 minute score-O with 4 parts, each part with weird maps and butterfly loops, where you didn't have to run every loop if it was too hard. My first part was a map with cliffs, only cliffs, nothing else... super super hard and took me almost 50 min for a 4 km course, but I did all of it. Then I did a part with only trails removed, which was very easy and then a part with only contours which was easy too. Then I was out of time. Around 0 with some snow on the ground.

OK Bor training in awesome pine forest with smaller hills and beautiful sandstone cliffs. Took it fairly easy with still a runny nose. Thought I felt the achilles after about 10 min running, but then nothing and doesn't feel worse after. Still not really sure what to think about it since I can definitely feel something there. -5 C with a touch of snow on the ground.

Running - Trail 33:22 [2] 5.41 km (6:10 / km) +81m 5:44 / km

Easy run from babicka's place in Novy Bor as it was getting dark, with a dusting of snow on the ground. Super runny nose. Achilles still OK I think...
