Orienteering City/Park race (sprint) 18:45 [4] 3 km (6:15 / km)
GVOC Sprint champs on a brand new sprint map around the aquarium. It was amazingly inspiring to run on this map, it felt like a completely new area with all the detail.

I had felt like crap yesterday, having a fever reaction to the tetanus shot I had to take because of the owl attack last week. I didn't run super hard and made 1 minute mistake at 3, so was surprised to win, 10 seconds ahead of Thomas and Robin who also made mistakes.

Orienteering City/Park race (middle) 55:14 [4] 7.9 km (6:59 / km)
Long distance club champs on the old Stanley Park map at 1:10000. A running race with some route choice decisions. Thomas is in way better running shape than me at the moment, so I was 4 minutes behind him, but I still felt happy, given my fever reaction the day before.

Wednesday Sep 20

Orienteering City/Park (wet) 22:50 [4]
WET at Cates Park. 3 loops, lots of controls and intense map reading. Terrible weather with heavy rain. Bear walked right by the picnic shelter we were using!
Running Smooth 25:00 [2]
Picking up the flags after the training.

Tuesday Sep 19

Intervals Flat 16:00 [5]
Intervals at the Musqeam trail loop. Did these alone, which is a bit hard, but I wasn't too slow.

Running Smooth 40:00 [2]
Warm-up, cool-down and in between intervals.

Got attacked by a big owl on the way back! It came from behind with its talons on my head 3 times and actually drew some blood... bizarre...
