Running Rough 2:28:23 [3] 25.12 km (5:54 / km) +1000m 4:56 / km

Dirty Duo, 25 km. Approached it more like a training run than a full-on race, but had some hopes to go under 2:30. Felt right away that the uphills were going to be difficult, legs did not respond. Ran with Jamie Stewart the first 40 minutes, but could not follow when the uphill started on Bridal. Julien passed me here too, but I could still see their backs all the way to Old Buck. Slow but steady up to Ned's and caught up lots of time on the technical downhill. Was almost with Jamie and Julien at the start of Fisherman's, but my legs were just getting too stiff. Had to walk up almost all of Homestead and reached the top after 2 hours of running. I still had energy and my breathing was very easy, but my legs were just not moving well anymore. Lost almost 5 minutes to Julien in the final 5 km and over 2 minutes to Jamie. Was still pretty happy to go under 2:30! Louise had a great run and came in just over a minute behind!

Floorball 1:00:00 [3]

Coho against an absolutely stacked Whalers team. Also, we only had 3 subs, so not much rest. We started well, I scored the first goal, and then we kept trading goals until 4-4. After that the Whalers slowly pulled away, they were simply too good. I think it was 14-8 in the end, but it was the most fun game in recent memory. Great play all around, plus lots of running.

Running Smooth 24:12 [2] 4.03 km (6:00 / km) +23m 5:50 / km

Warm-up.

Orienteering City/Park 46:46 [4] 9.06 km (5:10 / km) +26m 5:05 / km

Long course (for a WET) by Pige at False Creek. Tried to push the pace harder this time and that went well the first 2/3 of the course. Lost focus to 7 and lost 30 seconds. Then several long running legs before the madness started. First there were a few flags missing which was confusing, and then the course overprint was difficult to read in the detailed residential area. Skipped 20 by mistake and realized when going to 23. I was confused for a awhile and slowed down. Ran to 28 instead of 26, then lost time at 29. When running towards 31, I realized that's the control I "punched" instead of 1, which was nearby. DSQ ;)

Skiing - Skate 48:47 [2] 11.34 km (4:18 / km) +171m 4:00 / km

So it had been snowing most of the day and the groomer had not been out at all. Still ok to skate on the main track, because it had been used throughout the day, but all the side trails were just thick untouched snow. Had planned to go up to the upper trails, but that was not possible.
