2 AM

Orienteering Forest 1:07:12 [4] 11.97 km (5:37 / km) +414m 4:47 / km

Swiss 5-days, Day 5 Chase Start. Started in 2nd, 5 min behind the leader... and 5 min to the 3rd guy. A route choice course on the LongF map. Easy, no control circle mistakes, but hard to know what route is the fastest. Was 40 seconds slower than the leader on the day. So won two bottles of wine and chocolate ;)

Orienteering Forest 1:39:49 [4] 10.38 km (9:37 / km) +613m 7:25 / km

Swiss 5-days, Day 4. Alpine craziness. A hike, really. Very cool scenery, but mad undergrowth in many places. Thankfully I started late and could use massive elephant tracks. Huge climb and difficult navigation. Made several smaller mistakes, but no major ones.

Achilles hurting a little bit more every day...

Orienteering Forest 41:55 [4] 4.7 km (8:55 / km)

Swiss 5-days, Day 3 on the MiddleF Model map area. Another early start and alone in the forest. Very nice terrain with some alpine meadows, but pretty lumpy ground and slow running. Another race with pretty good navigation, but poor running speed.

Super exciting to follow the MiddleF at WOC today. Gold for Bertuks!

Orienteering Forest 1:08:19 [4] 7.0 km (9:46 / km)

Day 2 of Swiss 5-days at the MiddleQ model map area. Started early on a start punch and had my own private race in the morning mist. Very nice terrain, some control picking and two difficult long route choice legs. Made a 30 second hook on 7. Otherwise very good navigation, but my fitness is tanked.
