Speed and Strength 1:00:00 [4] 2.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

A bit off the pace today. I don't think a flu jab helps.

running 12:26 [5] 1.6 mi (7:46 / mi) +60m 6:58 / mi

More better

running warm up/down 23:00 [2] 2.0 mi (11:30 / mi)

Including more of a proper warm up round Clarendon, which might have helped.

Tuesday Oct 17, 2017 #

running 59:31 [3] 6.8 mi (8:45 / mi)

Headingley Hill, Kirkstall Hill and the Normans. Felt ok to start but the pace wasn't very quick and I couldn't go any quicker. By the time I reached the Normans I was struggling a bit and very slow home from there. I wasn't particularly wanting to go fast, but 5 minutes slower than last winter felt much too hard.

off day, off colour, off form, or just off

Note

The sky is weird.

orienteering 1:10:00 [2] 5.0 km (14:00 / km)

Coaching course assessment day, Hesley Wood. Mostly easy running around doing various exercises planned by the other aspiring coaches. And putting out/collecting my controls. And stressing while standing up and talking at the same time. It went OK I think.

hill running 1:02:13 [4] 4.5 mi (13:50 / mi) +570m 9:55 / mi

3x West Chevin, down and up like last week. A bit less slippy, a bit quicker.

Friday Oct 13, 2017 #

running 39:19 [4] 4.8 mi (8:11 / mi)

Seven Arches. Started off feeling quite easy but still reasonably quick. Started to struggle a bit coming back into Meanwood, straining up the steps.
