Pretty good for a one-legged session. I stretched pretty well I thought, but practicing some serving, I heard a pop followed by an immediate OW in my left calf. Tried walking it off, then some ice. I seem to remember I had an issue with this calf before on some runs. Same kind of pain but without the pop. It usually lasts a couple of days. Hm. Damn. Do I need to mention that I played (kind of standing around a bit) anyway? I should also remind myself that my strokes looked really good after such a long lay off.

I guess the 10 years of competetive play stuck with me.

Thought I'd do a bit of a test to see where I am at the beginning of more serious training for May 1. Not so bad. More walking than I wanted, but it felt good to be on the treadmill again, but attention (boredom) is an issue. I know -- I wasn't even on there very long, right? But I get bored. We'll see. I'd really rather be outside, but just too snowy right now. I understand it is supposed to be warmer on Saturday --maybe I'll be outside then. I am also going to go back to the elliptical for a while to keep the stress on my hip (and knees) lower.

Walked in boots. Snowy. People don't shovel anymore. Nice that the park district does, though. Wasn't planning on going for a walk today, but then I read Eric's training log. How could I not do something? Glad I did. As the weather gets nicer eventually, it will be good.

Much better workout than I had planned. Temp was 37 and I had on two layers of sweats so not bad. It was short enough that I didn't get terribly hot, and I jogged enough that I didn't get too chilled. I was psyched about my new ipod tunes but I didn't even get to listen to them because my pod got stuck in a Madonna loop. Drag. . .
