Super sore from the previous two days, especially my lower back. Nice and easy ski walk this morning. First lap, I ski walked with Pauli and absorbed some life lessons. Second, I had fun in all the puddles from the storm. Good recovery workout.

5k test run this morning. 30 min warm up, felt pretty rough, mostly from the the hard workout yesterday. At the 1st k marker I was about 20 seconds behind normal. I tried to push it harder but my times were still slower than usual. The last k my breathing transitioned to "wheezing". A factor could have been the heat.

4 laps of the 4.6k loop ski walking. HIt each lap a little under 40 minutes. Towards the end it got more difficult to go the same pace. Calves and gluteus maximus most definitely are feeling it. Really good workout.

First day up in Lappe. I was relieved to sleep in. Nice active rest kind of day to prepare for the big weekend. One lap of the 4.6k loop felt good to get the legs moving. A few delays in the workout include a grouse charing me, and then I did some pulls up and log lifts.

2k easy run to make sure the garmin is working smoothly. The mid-day heat made my hr go way up, nothing too major. Chris and I played the card game.
After 91 pushups I'm not sure how I feel about card games anymore. Owwee!

Started practice with some technique work in the parking lot for about 20 min. Felt a little rusty with my open field technique and lack of practice on roller skis, but I got the hang of it. We skied out to the nature center for more technique. My slow skis got a bit frustrating, but at least I got a good workout. Then V2 with no poles, for 20 min. Then V1 work up the road with one pole. My weak side felt more efficient. After the ski back, we did a few sprints, which I struggled with. I couldn't go fast enough with out loosing balance and technique.

Fun run with my new teammate Cassie around the trails in Linwood! Perfect conversation pace. After we did some plyo's and strength.

Roller ski at Elm with Sisu. A little technique in the parking lot. And then we did the 8 mile loop. 2 x 10 minutes of single sticking. The rest I double poled. Then stretching and strength.
