Orienteering race 1:25:38 [4] 11.2 km (7:39 / km) +505m 6:14 / km

Prague Eastern H21E 2nd Stage 29/48 (15.37 behind)

When I thought it could not get worse... The worst is that it actually felt decent. I could run better than yesterday and I was fairly focused. It just was not my day, I would like to partly blame it on being unlucky:)

1.-6. Drifted a little bit ~10s/leg.
7. ~30s Miscounted the number of reentrants.
8. ~60s Totally missed the control circle...
9. ~30s Wrong route choice.
11. ~90s Stood ~1m from the control but didn't see it (It was squeezed in between two cliffs, marked as a stone pit).
16. ~90s Looking to far to the left after a parallel error (partly due to a mismapped forbidden area).
17. ~15s Drifted left.
Lost some motivation, that can especially be seen on the time to the last two controls (also ~30s of stupid map reading mistakes to 26.)

Orienteering race 53:26 [4] 6.8 km (7:51 / km) +338m 6:18 / km

Prague Eastern H21E 1st Stage 17/52 (10.12 behind)

First time orienteering in Czech Republic with sandstones cliffs.
No speed today (maybe because it had been the first week of solid training for some time). However, that might have been good since I made more mistakes than normally.

1. ~30s Missed the start triangle and missed the control on the right side, no AP.
2. ~30s Drifted to far right and made a parallel mistake.
5. ~15s Missed control, no AP.
15. ~45s Missed control to the left, no AP.
20. ~20s Missed control to the left, no AP.

Together with a lot of other small mistakes, I guess it adds up to at least 4 min.

Orienteering race 49:44 [4] 7.1 km (7:00 / km) +120m 6:28 / km

BRL Mittel (Berlin TSC) 1st place (2.27 ahead)

Today, I was one of the last starters in my class and I had some really nice tracks to use at my discretion.

The course can be seen on Matti's log:

My concentration was much better today, but I lost some time (~2min) initially (3c-7c) since I wasn't reading the map enough. It is not enough to just run in the tracks, you still have to navigate:) I also stressed a bit at the end (26c-28c ~1min) trying to get away from one I though had caught up with me with 2min, which of course wasn't the case...

3. ~15s ran just passed it, above.
4. ~45s ran just passed it and searched to far south.
5. ~20s Drifted to far right.
6. ~20s Drifted to far right.
7. ~20s Drifted to far left.
26. ~30s Wasn't reading the map properly and when I saw a control to the right I ran there even if I was fairly sure it wasn't mine and it wasn't.
27. ~15s unsure.
28. ~15s Ran to far to the right.

Except for these, it felt really good, in full control. Especially 7-25 were amazing.
