Event: JWOC Training
Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]
Warm up for day 5, the case start. I was feeling pretty focused today.
Orienteering race 53:35 [4] ****
A great race for me. I was with other runners for about half of the race. I had great success hitting the control when near the circle. It really saved me a lot of time. I also felt like I really was able to simplify the map and run fast where I needed to and also run slower when necessary. Maybe 3:30 in errors total. A great run to cap off a great training camp in Karlstad.
Orienteering race (Day 4) 43:45 [4] ****
In all honesty, I should have won today. I was about 35 seconds back on the lead, but I was distracted a couple of times by other runners, when I was headed right to the control. I didn't loose much time, but I still should have the confidence to know when I am in the right spot and other people are not. The terrain was a mix of typical swedish bedrock dominated terrain and sand terrain. Quite fun and fast. A great time!
Running warm up/down (1500) 15:00 [2] *
Running before the 3rd day of the MINI 5 Day. I had a 3.2k sprint course. felt pretty focused before the race, something that I hadn't been focused on during the past couple of days.
