Event: 2006 Sprint Series Finals

running long (LSD (long slow distance 1) 1:30:00 [2] 14.1 km (6:23 / km)
shoes: asics GT-2100
Awsome run.

We parked in Dieppe, ran along the chocolate trail through Moncton, then across the new bridge into Riverwiew. Crossed back on the causway, then ran through the old dump back to Moncton, then to Dieppe.

Had a gel when I ran on the Causway: Strawberry Kiwi carb BOOM ( something like that?) Definitly felt a kick since mom was asking me to slow down.

Event: 2006 Sprint Series Finals Festival

Thursday Sep 14

running hills 47:01 [5] 7.65 km (6:09 / km)
shoes: asics GT-2100
Ran the usual hill right by the University of Moncton.

Sprint up.. jog down

Warm up: 11'08 minutes

4 hill reps, was supposed to do 5 but then I added another interval training session a week so i stuck to 4 in order not to injure myself. Splits:

1'31''54
1'34''96
1'35''32
1'37''94

I read somewhere`s that when you do hill reps your supposed to be consistent, I just got slower. Probobly because I am pretty tired today.

Cool Down: 16'04 minutes
Note
3 of my splits are faster then my fastest time on that hill from last week. I think this is an indication that I am getting fitter & stronger. I`d like to work up to 12 hill reps.

Aquafitness (Teaching) 1:00:00 [2]
Great class, they were a younger group so they are always up for more.

Sprained my wrist when I was yanking on the lane rope.

Monday Sep 11

running intervals 53:09 [5] 8.1 km (6:34 / km)
shoes: asics GT-2100
My first ever (?) interval session. Wasn`t exactly shure on how to proceed but I think I did allright for someone who doesn`t have much clue on what they are doing.

Ran to centenial park, through the back way by the hockey rink.

warm-up 17'21

interval session: 4 reps of full of sprint from one point to another, straight line. Then recovery time spent running single track back to the starting point (worked on concentration & got a little bit of terrain run in aswell)

Fast splits are my interval times & slower ones are the single track recovery times:

47''10 (250 meters)
3'11''62 (320 meters)
47''50
3'36''37
45''21
4'01''87
45'32
2'49''29

Cool Down
un back home: 19'04 minutes

Felt really pumped about this training session. It was awsome because at first I was going to skip the whole thing because I have to much stuff to do for university (I`m going to pay for this later!), and I wouldn`t of had to make that decision if I would of done this training this morning like I had planned to. Anyways, I managed to kick myself out the door & just run.

I feel like these hill training sessions are paying off. I am becoming much more endurant & strong. I`m also sort of looking forward to running now.. witch is strange for me!
