Event: OOC Eastern Canadian Orienteering Championships

#1. Messed up right off the bat. Pretty much took a rough bearing and wasn't reading the map what so ever. Got caught in the general flow of runners and ended up at control number 2.

#2. Went well since I had allready been there.

#3. Aimed off a little too much and ended up side hilling for a while. No real attackpoint.

#4. Went straight on a rought bearing. Hit the road, then the path, then the marsh point. Was right on course. Then in the big marsh, I started getting stupid and veered off. Caught myself since my compass was pointing in a weird direction and relocated in a rough clearing that I used as an attackpoint with the green vegetation zone.

#5. Went well till the uncrossable marsh. Started around in and headed uphill. I had no real attackpoint for this control witch resulted in capital lost of time. Also fell pretty hard looking for this one.

#6. Was allright, Emily Kemp caught me on this one.

#7. Was allright but lost touch of the map.

#8. Just a straight bearing.

#9. Again, didn't keep contact with the map.

#10. Was so so

#11. Easy

#12. Messed up on this one too. Didn't have an attackpoint.

#13. Hit the wrong trail. Relocated and got it

#15. good

Overall, my orienteering was shitty.

I wasn't too enthused about doing this race since I was pretty discouraged from the morning's race. It was also super hot out.

4th event of the tuesday orienteering series. Went pretty blah.. few mistakes due to lack of concentration / map reading.
