Ran a warm-up with Birkmeier and the girls. Got some good stretching in while watching the boys race. Hoping for a good race!
Running race (Cross Country) 23:59 [5] 5.0 mi (4:48 / mi)
shoes: Grey/Pink Puma Spikes
Not a good race. About 2K in, I felt like my lungs were really small and had a really hard time breathing. Second race in a row this happened, so not sure what to do about that. Also, got big blisters on both feet, so I'll probably have to quit using my spikes (probably change to flats?). Time from last year was 23:45 and I wanted to beat that, but didn't. The coaches sounded really happy with my race, but I wasn't...determined to do better next week in Duluth.
