Took the new bike out to Forsyth for a few laps. So much nicer to ride than the anthem - feels like its working with me instead of against me, coming up to log rollovers I don't need to lift the front as much the bike just seems to rollover them better. Climbs well and more fun on the downhills too.

Managed to do the second log rollover on two laps today which was cool.

Just one lap as the calves were tight and sore after yesterday's run. Really rutted out and not nice riding in some places, not sure if it was worse because we've been riding such nice trails lately, or maybe coz I was test riding nice new bikes yesterday...

Then lots of playing at the skills park (I'm still crap) and bmx track and downhill track :)

After a few discussions with one of the guys at work about 'minimalist running' where you pay $$$ to get 6 different shoes which will transition you feet from running in shoes to running barefoot, trying to convince him it was a total ripoff... I thought how nice it would be to go running on the beach.

Soft sand up and then in the shallows on the way back. Calves were paying for it as soon as I had stopped. Nice to run on the beach for a change though. :)

Nice temp for a paddle.
Up to Roe Hwy bridge and back, another tiger snake swimming along in the river, looked about 2m long, not keen on seeing too many of these...

Have testing in Maddington all this week so rode along the river which was quite nice.

There was lots of glass on the path on the way home and my front wheel was going flat, bugger.So I lent back and tried not to put to much weight over the front, which was fine until I realised the back was also going flat. Damn. Rolled it as far as I could and got to 2kms from home but couldn't be bothered pushing the bike with 2 flat tires, in full site gear, so called for a lift home.

Went down to Turners Hill for a lap of the main track.Lots of jumps and a few log rollovers.Some big log rides that I couldn't do. Good fun track gravel was a bit loose.

Decided to go to South Shore... Some crazy doubles that there was no way I could do, however some awesome littler log rides that I could do eventually :) a few at ground height so you could just ride off them which was cool. Didn't actually get to do the main up and down tracks coz Jason got a flat and even though we patched it up it still went flat.

Took the cooler forecast temp today to have a sleep in which was nice. Pretty busy out on the trails considering how late we were out there.

Up to rocky balboa from the Dell, down Mercury st, up again then across to where the old little oven circuit joins in. Then down the nice rolling downhill being chased by a group of guys who had said 'you go first' luckily they stopped to regroup and I got ahead of them ok.

Through past camel farm, saw wally, up camakazi and started to slow down a bit now. Harder slog through the last bit of the circuit until the downhill then back up through the single track in the pines.

Paddle up to Roe hwy bridge. My arms felt slow and tired right from the start. Got better for a while and then my shoulders started to ache and I slowly paddled home. Lots of big koi fish out in the river. The algae is really getting bad, could definitely do with some rain soon to clear it out a bit.
