we started about an hour after the loppet started, to get the benefit of good tracks without racing ;) 5 of us from the Lake, picking up a couple more en route. Several stops along the way (took off 1 hour), but I could feel my lower back by about the 20 k mark. Tried to keep Christin in my sights for the last 15 k. She skies so effortlessly! Swede! I was so glad to get to Castle. There's no way I could have done the 50k. Then a fantastic evening at the hostel. Back is ok now though my hip flexors are talking a little to me!
