Confed - tracks still holding up though some icy spots. Met a bunch of people so adjusted the time.

Run/walk on Nose Hill. Snow, ice and mud. Walked where there was deep rough snow, and also on the steep uphills. My fitness is lacking...! Did do a 1 min uphill tempo at the end. Walked for warm-up and cool-down. Lots of people out walking! I took smaller trails to avoid most. Beautiful day.

A skiff of fresh snow which did cover some icy spots. Also fairly strong easterly wind, (-7 - or -14C with windchill!). Legs had no energy...

Dawn Mountain at Golden. At the bottom of the trails, I realised I hadn't eaten enough - and no-one had brought any food with them... Struggled for a bit then improved. Beautiful day!

UBC "Head to Head' with Emily R. No competition...finished >3 min behind her. Energy definitely lacking. Ended up 6th in 'expert' women. Lost time on 4 controls (3,7,9,10). Some of that just due to indecision. Some areas difficult to read while running.

UBC 'set-up'. Better than the head to head. Ended up 4th but 2 min behind Sheila C.

UBC Chase. Mass start for all expert. I went to the right for first control. Joanne followed but not the best route. People all over the place! Managed to maintain concentration, and only 45s behind Sheila C!! Ended up 4th overall (best 4 out of 5 races - my head-to-head was dropped) Great weekend as always!
