Training Log Archive: Edmund

I just learned to roll the other way! Now I can start from a comfortable sleeping position, and with only 90sec of intense squirming, flip myself onto my back, discarding all bedclothes in the process.
It was so exciting that I had to congratulate myself loudly and cheerfully for half an hour afterwards.
Eventually I got tired, and had to call Mum to come and flip me back over and help me go back to sleep. For some reason she didn't want to stay and chat.

Today I made friends with Molly again. Molly is a grey fluffy thing who just loved me a few months ago when I was just a stomach with hiccups, but never quite forgave me for being born.
Today she rubbed her cheek on my leg and then I stuck my finger in her ear and blew a raspberry.
Just baby steps (hur hur) but we'll get there.

Just some perspective so that Hilarity still likes me... and uncle juffy is right, I hardly ever scream at mum except when she puts me in the car, and both times in the creche I waited til she finished exercising :-)

Mum abandoned me again! I got hungry so I screamed for a bit to summon her but instead Dad appeared, and took me for a long walk so I could scream at all his work friends.
Once mum and my second breakfast arrived, we went for another long walk and she made me smile at all the work friends and say sorry.

I am getting used to this so i smiled a lot in the pool today, even when my face got wet and even in the bubbles!

Oh this was fun! Mum took me to a Different Creche, with Eliza but she was asleep again so I had to play games by myself instead. It turns out that if I scream for long enough, the creche lady goes for a walk and then Mum comes back, even if she is all the way on the other side of the world going for a swim.
The creche ladies tried all sorts of tricks to shut me up but I wasn't having any of that, silly ladies. When Mum came in I stopped screaming and gave them all a smile, just to show that it was all a joke really and that I am looking forward to next time.
The creche ladies didn't seem very keen on next time, though, they said things like "better for everyone if..." so maybe we will swim at TTAC again next time.
So I got to watch Mum and Tania have coffee, and I did lots of smiling and chatting, telling them all about how much fun I had in the creche, and after aaaaages more they went and got Eliza too, and she was STILL asleep, obviously sucking up to the creche ladies.

Just a little experiment to see how long I can stay awake for. It was much longer than either Mum or me had ever expected, and by the end of the marathon effort Mum seemed more frazzled than me.
