Unspecified (patriotism) 2:00:00 [1]

Today was Australia Day, which is a Day where everyone wears flags and eats sausages with tomato sauce at breakfast time. Mum and I went for a walk along the beach, and then Dadad appeared out of the ocean. He hasn't done that before as far as I know, but then who am I to comment on what is unusual, I still think it is hilaaaaarious when Mum puts a T-shirt on or blows her nose. Dadad was pretty happy to see me and my flag, though, so perhaps he didn't much like being in the ocean.

Innate Reflex Practice (Empathising) 1:00 [4]

I was eating my breakfast today happily watching Catcatcat outside in the loooong breaks between mouthfuls. Catcatcat was very bouncy and rushing around. Then she came to the screen door and went "meowfff", "meomph" and she was holding a grey thing a bit like the happy smiley mouses in my story books, only this one didn't look quite so happy and smiley. It looked kind of sleepy in a Not Good sort of way. Then for no reason I burst into tears. Weird. Dad went outside and chased the cat around for a bit and then showed me the not-mouse on the spade - it was much bigger than a mouse and had a big red bit at the back. Then Dad went away for a few seconds and came back with the spade but no Not Mouse.

Catcatcat then came inside and licked all her paws. Mummmumumum eventually came home from being at work ALL night. She says that I have something my Dad never has had - empathy. I don't understand her, but I have a feeling I know what she means.

Note

Today I grew a new upper tooth by stealth. It's been so long since I grew teeth and I felt a bit guilty that I didn't produce this one a week ago when I was at GrandmaGT's house, so I thought I wouldn't bother with any complaining, or temperature, or snotty nose and maybe no-one would notice though. Whaddya know, Mum noticed - Mum notices everything. She can even tell when I've been playing in the playroom-toilet-bathroom-loungeroom with all my toys, she's amazing.
