S3 C1
-1C Snowed, slushed and rained overnight and then froze. The classic tracks were OK but not super grippy. Busy because it was a nice day and also because few trails are groomed. Saw Gwen F.

Tough sledding! About 0C with a few cms on top of the groom. Skis very sucky. Snow above and slush at the parking lot. Trails quiet which is good because Hollyburn is closed while a building is constructed behind the lodge. Everyone has to go up/down Burfield which would be sketchy on a busy day.
Saw Stan and Joanne. They were getting their passes just as I finished.

skate skiing 1:02:37 [3] 8.35 km (7:30 / km) +75m 7:11 / km

S1 Sk 1 Early start to the season by Vancouver standards. I hope the snow stays! Typical first ski--clumsy and unfit but fun. Snow was slippery so Kuu yellow and coarse rill worked well.
