I just totally blew up & exploded on this ride one of my worst feeling every on a ride!

Now I think that the fuel I took had Iodine in it and I am allergic to Iodine. I felt horrible!

Well this was supposed to be a ride of just over 4hrs. Started off with just water & some bars no breakfast. The plan was to go to my friends mansion in Corona for his pool party & chill for a bit & come back. I was feeling good the first half. There was some climbing & I took it easy. I didn't eat at the party but had a granola bar. Then headed back home and was instantly feeling hungry & I quickly ran out of fuel. Luckily I found a bike shop but it didn't have anything I wanted had to buy some power bars that had a bunch of protein.I ate them & started up again. Shortly after that I think all the protein upset my stomach. That is what started it all. I just started feeling horrible. Stomach was upset, I started to get a headache & pretty much just blew up! Had to soft pedal for close to 1 1/2 hours. Rode all the way home with a really bad headache & wanting to throw up those damned bars. I was just barely turning the crank going from 12 to 15mph into the horrible head wind. Also if I would stand up I would feel my quads cramp. Got home and started feeling cold. Hit the Vitargo & protein & was trying to keep the mix drink down. Feeling better now but legs are tired.

From now on I am going to start using infinit instead of water for my long rides & start taking more fuel with me.

I am not in very good shape right now & my body is not too efficient at burning fat at my current fitness level. Lesson learned the hard & painful way!

Slower start felt better after about 40 min & then I was able to pick up the pace finished strong. Legs felt a little tired from lifting. I have been increasing the weights & Reid on the squats & lunges.

Weighed in at 186lbs at the doctors this morning. Thought it would be a little less. I guess some of it is because of lifting. But can lose another 5KGs. At least the testing HR was low
