Hunter -2 is made up of 3x20-minute intervals at 88% FTP sprinkled with brief, 30-second recovery valleys throughlout each interval.
8-minute recoveries fall between intervals.
This ride felt easy and the HR didn't really drift or rise much. The same thing happened to me at the end of the 2nd week, of the Sweet Spot High Volume Part 1. This is the 2nd week of Sweep Spot High Volume part 2. I raised my FTP by 3W last time and I am going to do it again. It is just that this time it felt easy that I think the reading was off. I did calibrate it before the ride and I also put oil on the chain as I realized it was bone dry. I hadn't done that in probably 8 weeks since I was riding in doors and didn't think it needed it. It made a big difference, the ride was much more quieter and smoother. I guess I probably also saved some watt on the drive train by oiling the chain. We will see what happens next week.
the only worry was that my Quarq reading on the Garmin was reading about 10W lower and during one of the recovery periods I tried to spin backwards to reset it and I did that a couple of times and then it started to read 20W lower. That is the only confusing thing. But I have had problems with my Quarq, (some times it read 1/2 the power, it is really old about 9years old or so) for a while so I am just going to see what happens on Tuesday. I have had all my test and and work based on the Kickr and just use the quarq/garmin to see what that reads.
I hope the Kickr was giving a true reading.
