this was supposed to be an easy recovery ride. I started of easy with tired legs but about the 30min mark I just felt really good. I changed it to a moderate ride. I really had to hold back on the watts as they felt so easy. I felt much better then yesterday. I think it was because I actually didn't do much fasting yesterday and actually ate more than I have eaten in one day in the last month or so. Glycogen stores were probably replenished and I got good rest last night as well. And I actually lost weight.

Back Bay to Pendleton with the Pro Eco Crew and Mike and Greg. Rode faster than 2 weeks ago and more of the group stayed together. They are getting stronger. This was good ride for me with good efforts off the front.

just a regular endurance ride. headed to the beach to avoid the heat. Long ride on tap tomorrow with a big crew. Legs felt tired at the beginning but they were good to go at about the 30min mark and then the watts felt easy.

Ramp Test

I did the ramp test knowing my Power was down. It was down 10W from the last time I did a test about 2 months ago or so. I knew it was down when I came back from vacation and I haven't been training as hard since. Interestingly though my Power to weight is actually slightly up because I have lost weight.

I have been doing intermittent fasting now for probably going on a month and I have lost weight. I do all my rides fasted and I am also restricting the carbs. I can feel it on the bike but the bottom line is I am dropping the weight and surprisingly my W/KG are slightly better.

I am going to continue to fast until I lean up. I mean I will never get Slater Fletcher lean but I still need to lean up so I can climb better.
