had a very good ride, I just kept the watts capped at Zone 2 today as I plan to try and do three VO2 sessions next week as it is my last build week and then a recovery week. I am just riding much stronger right now than I was even last week and the week before and the only difference is the VO2 intervals. I literally have to hold back the watts to try to keep them capped in Zone 2 and these rides feel easy and yet I am riding faster and with a higher AVG W and Higher NP. My body is going through some serious adaption. I knew it would improve my fitness but right now I must be peaking because the watts feel easy. Also I had read that it VO2 helps your endurance as well. I believe it because literally Zone 2 now feels like higher end zone 1. I am sure that is partially because my actual FTP has gone up in the last few weeks as well.

Well decided to sleep in and just ride the coast because of the heat and also the smoke from the fires.

The legs didn't feel that great at the beginning but they didn't feel too bad either. They felt a little better at about the 20min mark and then a little better at the 40min mark. But they still felt a little tired from the VO2 workouts. So I just decided to pretty much ride zone 2 all day. Stayed on PCH and then was going to do NC repeats on Ridge Park (9%), but I just felt the legs were too tired and I didn't want to over train. So I just decided to climb up NC in my easiest gear. To my surprise I was able to climb NC in my easiest gear and stay in Zone 2. So I just decided to do repeats and keep the power in check. I did 6 repeats. On the last repeat I went up to Coastal Peak Park as I was out of water. I was surprised that I was able to hold over 300W and it didn't feel very hard. Those VO2 workouts are really paying off for me. I just can't believe how much easier it felt. It also felt really easy to ride in zone 2 almost like I wasn't even training. The adaption is coming quick!!!

easy beach ride, legs didn't feel too bad once I loosened up, but I did notice that if I went steady the felt tired, pretty much just stayed in zone 2

Dade +2 is four sets of 3x2-minute VO2max repeats at 120% FTP.

2 minutes of recovery fall between Intervals and 6 minutes of easy spinning separate each set.

I am able to tolerate the VO2 workouts a little better now.

Fletcher consists of nearly 90 minutes of aerobic Endurance spent between 60-75% FTP.

This workout's form drills include Form Sprints, Endurance Spinning, and Pistons/Kick & Pull pedaling drills.

I went a little easier with this ride and it felt just right.

Dade +2 is four sets of 3x2-minute VO2max repeats at 120% FTP.

2 minutes of recovery fall between Intervals and 6 minutes of easy spinning separate each set.

It was hot from the get go. But I managed to do this workout and the last set actually felt easier than last week. I have to keep the cadence up. I am going to start extending the warm up as I feel like I don't get enough of a warm up. The first 3 VO2 openers are tough and I think the first set felt really tough, the 2nd set was much easier and the third was hard as my cadence went down.

All in all a slight improvement from last week, I'll take it.
