run in Hartley or what used to be Hartley with group, holy crap it looks like a tornado hit it!! HOW sad ...! The logging and then the blow down which was probably made worse by the lack of trees that could have provided shelter...the city said 2 to 3 weeks for the "contractors" to clean up the mess...that was over a month ago! Hartley was the place we went for cooler running in the summer and warmer skiing in the much for that!

A couple from my group and I headed out to do the trail run early. Two of us were petrified by the lightning and one calmed us and said, just keep going. At some point one of them decided she was going we all went. On the way we ran into Wayne and Joe Gerard. It was downpouring on our way back and it was tricky ...two of the girls slid down the side of the trail at one point before going back down the steep part with the rope...we all made it down that and it was fun repelling backwards!

Brewer park Duluth traverse with group, they need to make that parking lot bigger!!! It was so full and so was Skyline's lot! The trail was full of mountain bikes tonight, not fun to run...
