Legs were absolutely wrecked last night. Still tired today. Orienteered with 23 kids in Nacka reservetet. Half were super keen and improved a tonne over the day, the other half couldn't give 2 shits.

7 PM

running warm up/down 24:32 [2] 3.38 km (7:16 / km)

orienteering 31:05 [3] 4.12 km (7:33 / km)

Natti natti. Night orienteering..A lot of things just were not ideal.
Things that went wrong before I started:
1. Didn't realise it was in the forest. The terrain description was "a lot of paths and tracks", it was in a suburban area and the course length was "sprint". So I didn't bring my orienteering shoes or long socks and had no strapping tape.
2. Don't actually own a headlamp, thankfully someone who was last leg lent me one.
3. Everyone ran off to the mass start (remote) while I was warming up so got momentarily lost and one of my team members started getting stressed that I wasn't there and that didn't help matters.
and well this wasn't anything wrong but it threw me off, when I got to the start, I realised that I was the only girl on 1st leg.
If it wasn't a relay, I would've just gone home and gone for a run. I think it was pretty risky going out there in running shoes with no strapping tape at night. I feared for my ankles the whole time. The ground, even the tracks was super slippery.
Oh yeh, and the light I borrowed kept overheating and turning off making me stop dead in darkness.
Turns out that my team got DQ'd anyway. Fun times.
