Amiens and cascades. Borrowed Jack's spare compass that had been chewed by the dog but it was definitely much more useful than having no compass at all. Made a couple of mistakes. A big one at 6. Fell over/went for a slide twice on bare rock in the last couple on controls, felt a bit dazed afterwards and stopped at a random control that I saw for some water. Feeling a bit battered and bruised now on my knees, hands, front of my leg and chin. Bumbled around a bit. Better than yesterday though. Having lots of trouble playing choose the rock in the circle that the control is on... I always choose the wrong rock. Felt pretty bad about running away while Winnie was hurt.. but there were enough people telling me to keep running.

Qld champs at cascades. Not a good day equipment wise. Fell over just after 1 and smashed my compass. The terrain has also destroyed my shoes.. wore my sarvas with metal dobs because the bottom of my inov8s is coming off.. I've lost a lot of my dobs and a lot of the actual rubber grips have also come off. Made mistakes. Wasn't running hard at all. Not very confident with my orienteering at the moment.
