Dry gear on, except wet hiking boots.
Already dropped 3 controls off the western end of our original morning loop, to avoid crossing the watery creek again, particularly around the swamping bit. But still plenty of add on options.
Just breaking daylight as we got to our first control, motored around the now truncated western side of our loop, across the northern edge of the map, and picked up some extra controls heading a bit down the eastern edge of the map.
We opted to leave out an extra 30 pointer, so back past 12 (which we got on our way out sat), further motivation/urgency now gone it was quite a slow slog back.
Much easier 3rd overall and 1st mixed than the state champs, didn't need to stay out all night, no blisters, and I can still walk now on Monday (so far).
