Pool walking 38:00 [3] 1.5 km (25:20 / km)

Thought I'd try out a pool recovery session after being completely crippled following the last rogaine, approx time and dist, had trouble keeping count till I decide to count on my fingers. Legs felt completely dead when I got out and they had to support my full body weight again.

Swimming 12:00 [3] 0.5 km (24:00 / km)

After feeling too tired to get up for the 5am alarm, I had the fortune of my watch going off at 5:30am because I hadn't disarmed it yesterday's early rogaine restart. So off I went to the pool.
Slow swim, zero energy level, approx. time, feeling like I needed more sleep as a walked to the car and off to work.

Note

I have now run my string around our course and my best estimate is:
Sat. 43km straight line, 47.5km actual, 12hrs 44 mins
Sun. 21.5km straight line, 24.5km actual 5hrs 40 mins
6 AM

Rogaining race 5:40:00 [3] 22.0 km (15:27 / km)
slept:4.0

Dry gear on, except wet hiking boots.

Already dropped 3 controls off the western end of our original morning loop, to avoid crossing the watery creek again, particularly around the swamping bit. But still plenty of add on options.

Just breaking daylight as we got to our first control, motored around the now truncated western side of our loop, across the northern edge of the map, and picked up some extra controls heading a bit down the eastern edge of the map.

We opted to leave out an extra 30 pointer, so back past 12 (which we got on our way out sat), further motivation/urgency now gone it was quite a slow slog back.

Much easier 3rd overall and 1st mixed than the state champs, didn't need to stay out all night, no blisters, and I can still walk now on Monday (so far).

Rogaining race 12:44:00 [3] 42.0 km (18:11 / km)

Copied Juffy's time and dist, haven't worked out final straight line and actual distances yet.

Random team (my third and final entry for the event), surprise result. Difficult terrain kept us below the planned 4.5km/h daylight speed, no major time lost to nav issues. Felt harder pushing the pace when someone else is setting it, then when your setting it.

Managed to crossed the creek out to the west three times before we got across it, Harlie opted for going round the side of the "S" bend instead of straight up the middle, so only had to cross it once.

Passed a team who couldn't find 92(?), not sure how they missed it when there was an unmarked track running straight up the gully the control was in.

Good thing Juffy suggested dropping 2 controls on the way in, otherwise we wouldn't have been in till around 2am, well beyond the planned midnight.

Approaching our 2nd last control for the night we came across a couple of young guys who were lost and looking to head back to the HH, so they followed us in.

Road Bike (Commute) 56:55 [3] 27.33 km (28.8 kph)
ahr:159 max:176 slept:7.0

Looks like I'll need to take it easy this week, so easy ride today. Target HR 160. Cockburn to Claremont via narrows and Princess Rd. Tried to get on the back of someone as he went past heading away from Canning bridge, but he was slowly getting away and since I was up to 40km/h and he was still getting away so gave up on the futility. Nice still morning for a ride, but still pretty cold.
5 PM

Road Bike (Commute) 1:00:54 [3] 27.28 km (26.9 kph)
ahr:162 max:177

Claremont back to Cockburn, rain set in around Leach Hwy, pretty dark by the time I got back, and my light died on the way in this morning.
