Short run to test out my calf before heading to the physio. Calf is still getting sorer as I run.

Physio thinks my old worn Hokas might have caused the problem, so I'll try different shoes next time.

Byford to Claremont

I was going to ride my good bike, but after getting it nearly ready I found the Di2 battery was flat, so couldn't change gears. So got the old bike off the windtrainer and swapped everything over.

Finally a ride to work without warm layers. And the sun was up when I started.

Nice warm evening for a paddle. Lots of annoying flying ant like bugs, creepy crawley bugs, hardd to flick them off whilst paddling. Jetskis and speedboats were pretty loud and annoying until it got dark.

Nice a tranquil on the way back, nice sunset and nioce views back to the city.

Another run with the kids on their bikes, avoiding magpie territory, still had one make a half hearted swoop at Ryan.

Was going to run some laps of the oval whilst the kids were playing in the playground, but the magpies were relentless even on the opposite side of the oval to their tree.

Finally got one of my old HR chest straps working. I'd read somewhere a few months back, that you need to leave the battery out for a while when you put a new battery, so I left it about 10 minutes whilst I started riding, then put the new battery in whilst I kept riding and miraculously it started working.

Watched a DVD that one of my nephews gave me a couple of years ago about the Green Berets selection course, wasn't as boring as most other things I watch whilst on the windtrainer. Watching other people suffer must help.
