Three laps at Laurel Ridge (26, 23 and 24 minutes). It was so icy that the main exercise was controling the skis from flying out of the track. Fun anyway, even got complimented on "risking it on the downhills".

The first two loops in Laurel Highlands, did them with a little bit of hop in the step. 24 and 25 minutes.

A longer loop on the other side of the road. Much flatter, so did not have to push myself all the time (except for the last, behemoth, killer hill, which gives 80% of all the climb). The time is a guess because my cellphone died in the middle.

Went skiing to Laurel Ridge. Beautiful track conditions, however, some of the downhills were a real slalom because of that because I had to dodge the touristy kind of groups of skiers. Felt strong and confident for first 3.5 out of 4 laps and literally died in the last half lap. If they groom the new snow early, I might get 3 days of skiing in this coming weekend. Lap times: 26, 25, 25, 24 minutes (timing device - clock on the cell phone. somehow my hrm does not work too well while skiing (or bicycling)).

Every-weekend race "Ziemas Magnets" in Tumsupe/Asaru ezers, Latvia. There was some snow on the ground and I did not feel like running the longest - 11 km course, therefore settled for this. There wasn't really too much orienteering going on, mostly it was following the tracks of the previous runners. I did manage to make a new (and I believe better) track in 2 or 3 places. It was very enjoyable to be able to just drive out of town for 30 minutes and do some orienteering - wish that were possible in Pittsburgh more than once a year...
