ahr:162
Running to the training at Clingendael.
Orienteering (Night-O) 39:41 [3] *** 5.4 km (7:21 / km) +25m 7:11 / km
ahr:172 spiked:12/20c
Night-O in Clingen dael. While it is a park map, Mietta had done a good job mixing in some park and city O with some compass directions exercises (none of which I performed well). Great weather and great fun.
Orienteering (Night-O) 15:00 [2] ** 1.5 km (10:00 / km)
spiked:3/4c
Picking up controls.
Running warm up/down 16:01 [3] 2.4 km (6:40 / km)
ahr:161
Running home.

Thursday Oct 20

Bicycling 45:00 [3] 10 km (4:30 / km)
Riding to Rijswijk and back, on the way back a bridge over canal was lifted and I thought I was smarter than everybody else and ended up riding a few extra kilometres.
Frisbee 1:20:00 [2]
Frisbee training. Since only 5 people showed up, we played on a smaller field --> less intensity.

Wednesday Oct 19

Running warm up/down 14:40 [3] 2.4 km (6:07 / km)
ahr:173
Running to Clingendael training.
Orienteering (Night-O) 35:01 [3] *** 5.4 km (6:29 / km) +10m 6:26 / km
ahr:174 spiked:5/10c
My first night-o session in years. It was fun, even though the map was easy (park) and it was mostly trail running. Though it has to be said that it felt good flying through the woods as well.
Orienteering 20:00 [2] *** 2.6 km (7:42 / km)
spiked:4/4c
Picking up controls after the training at a leisurly pace.
Running warm up/down 15:42 [2] 2.4 km (6:32 / km)
ahr:165
Running home after the training.

Sunday Oct 9

Orienteering race 3:21:48 [3] *** 19.94 km (10:07 / km) +200m 9:38 / km
ahr:155 spiked:10/15c
The second day of Yetiloop. I felt much better or rather both me and Peter felt equally bad, so it was easier for me to keep up with him. All my positive impressions of the event were spoiled by control #7, which we had to plot in the map according to the coordinates given to us and then it was actually set in a dense bush (it was laying on the ground as well) about 50-70 meters from the place where it had to be both according to the map and to the control description. We lost 25 minutes looking for it... Which, to be honest, did not cost us any places (we came 6th), but cost quite a bit psychologically, especially because it happened within the first quarter of the course...

Saturday Oct 8

Orienteering race 3:26:01 [3] *** 22 km (9:22 / km) +150m 9:03 / km
ahr:168 spiked:9/16c
The first day of Yetiloop. The race tested my endurance to its limits, I started seriously bonking about 8 km before the finish, although I kept running for 97% of the time (walked the uphills in the end). My partner - Peter - was much stronger than me and only thanks to him the total of our errors was limited to about 15 minutes because my brain switched off at the end.
Running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.5 km (6:40 / km) +20m 6:15 / km
ahr:160
Running to the start/warming up for the race.

Wednesday Oct 5

Orienteering race 51:45 [4] *** 7.55 km (6:51 / km) +40m 6:41 / km
ahr:181 spiked:10/17c
"Ziemas Magnets" in Breksi near Riga. Did not have the necessary power in the second half. Was beaten by 10 minutes by 18(?) years old Margers, who is FAST.

Saturday Oct 1

Orienteering race 1:13:31 [3] **** 7.8 km (9:26 / km) +90m 8:55 / km
ahr:176 spiked:11/22c
"Latvijas Gaze" cup in Baltais purvs map near Murjani, Latvia. I did not feel good running, so I am happy losing 14 minutes to the winner, considering I made mistakes of at least 8. Very interesting terrain.
Running warm up/down 7:00 [2] 1 km (7:00 / km)
Warming up before the race.
