Raid the Hammer run
Lots of trail running this year; in fact, one could win the race without doing the advanced navigation section, albeit at a distance penalty of 2 km all on trail. I suspect that for the absolute fastest teams, it was a poor choice, but for all but the walkers (which we were - essentially - at that point in the course) the long way was probably a win. Too bad, as the advanced nav is one of the cooler things about RTH.
