Tuesday Sep 25

Swimming 34:22 [3]1.0 mi (34:23 / mi)
Warm pool again, but I think the upper body weight lifting exercises are helping...
Watercize 56:00 [2]
Biking 30:00 [2]8.0 mi (3:45 / mi)
Sader's->River Trail->Sader's as darkness fell upon us... kept us motivated to keep the pace up...

Monday Sep 24

Running 28:51 [3]3.1 mi (9:18 / mi)
Gargoyle loop; felt a bit logy, so time seems about right...
Weights 20:00 [3]
Handball 30:00 [1]
Discounted time by a factor of 3. Was teaching/playing with a beginner.

Saturday Sep 22

Orienteering race 1:01:12 [4]*** 5.58 mi (10:58 / mi)
spiked:11/14c
Advanced course at Chestnut Ridge. Used the far southern part of the map which I had never visited. (Only about four of the fourteen controls were in regions I had seen.) Nice course, but the long, narrow portion of the park made it tricky to design a course without a lot of running in the same direction.

I blew #11 and spoiled a decent run, but there was little competition, so my time held up better than it should have.

Friday Sep 21

Racquetball 50:00 [2]
Payne 8-15 (led 7-2, 8-7), 15-7, 11-8. Didn't play great, but made for a great match.

Thursday Sep 20

Swimming 34:28 [3]1.0 mi (34:28 / mi)
Watercize 54:00 [1]

Wednesday Sep 19

Cardio (Bike) 24:00 [3]
Random @ 17
Weights 28:00 [3]

Tuesday Sep 18

Swimming 35:13 [2]1.0 mi (35:13 / mi)
Pulled a muscle in my shoulder yesterday at Home Depot when I lifted a 5-gallon can of paint with poor technique. That, plus a very warm pool put a stop to decreasing times.
Watercize 54:00 [2]
Racquetball 18:00 [1]
Spaeth 15-13 (largest lead either player: 3 pts.), 0-0 (retired)

After a flurry of service losses, I hit a drop shot that Paul charged the front to get. He got it and won the serve back, but heard a pop in his hamstring and retired.

Monday Sep 17

Running 28:28 [3]3.1 mi (9:10 / mi)
Gargoyle loop; cool and brisk; actually felt decent...
Weights 22:00 [3]
Somebody substituted the 45 pound weight for the 35 pounder near the abs bench. Noticed too late... ;-(

Friday Sep 14

Cardio (Bike) 8:00 [2]
Random @ 17 while waiting for racquetball partner to show up...
Racquetball 35:00 [1]

Either I miscounted laps, mistimed, or I have no judgment. I thought this was my fastest swim in quite some time...
