November Classic New Forest UK- Short brown course. Beautiful sunny day.

Classic New Forest terrain ... fast and open with some marshy bits. Big meet with ~1000 competitors .. ~130 on my course
A nice start , 1,2,3 ,4 but was wide on 5 , got back on track then once in the circle had problems finding the small pit (maybe 6" deep x 3' wide ) in the bracken with flag 6" off the ground (passed about 20' from it 2 -3 times... so that cost me 8 mins) . In the SE UK they love using these small 1- shovel pits (6 controls out of 21 on this course used them). It is a little bingoish within the circle ... really helps if someone is at the control. It was Emit punching which is a little slower than SI (you have to turn the brick the right way )

After that made up for lost time with a fast run and good run, finished strong. 18th on M50L (out of 40) ... 71 out of 130 on short brown
