Another hike in Lory State Park. This time I went up Arthur's Rock trail and down on Howard Trail. I passed on a side-trip to the summit because there's a little bit of boulder climbing to get there and coming down was a little iffy. I'm trying to avoid overburdening our medical system by not hurting myself.
Howard trail was actually nicer than Arthur's Rock trail, in my opinion. It had more opportunities for amazing views and it went through more open meadows. It is a multi-use trail, though, with horses and mt. bikes. I didn't see any horses, but did see a handful of mt. bikers, which surprised me because the middle of this trail is quite steep with many, very rocky switchbacks. But they were riding up and down, seemingly without a worry. I thought of Brooke and what she would do.
